Autumn/Winter

This year’s harvest is done and dusted with all wines safely in barrel maturing. Crop levels were very low this year due to the cool wet and windy spring last year, which affected flowering and fruit set. The good news is that the vines were treated to a long cool ripening period, which has allowed picking at the optimum time to capture full fruit expression and ripe tannins. The Southdown Sheep are now back in the vineyard doing what they do best - lawn moving and fertilising the underline area.

The cellar door will be closed for the winter at the end of May, to enable some work to be done in the tasting area and allow us to catch up with vineyard maintenance.

We plan to reopen 12th of November, on Sundays 12 to 4pm, for tastings and direct sale
